Dear Parents, Guardians and Friends,

On behalf of the staff at Selmer Elementary School, I am happy to welcome you to our webpage. It's my belief that students should be provided a safe, secure learning environment that will allow them to develop the intellectual and decision-making skills necessary for them to become academically, socially, physically and emotionally successful. We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. I believe all children have the right to learn and progress.  Partnerships between families, communities and schools are the best way to provide children with opportunities to grow and develop. We know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child's education. As your partner, we share the responsibilities daily. We ask that you guide and support your child's learning by ensuring that he/she:

1. Attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day's learning experience
2. Completes all assignments given by teachers daily
3. Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills
4. Informs you if he/she needs additional support in any area or subject
5. Knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school academically and behaviorally

It is a privilege to be your principal at Selmer Elementary. Please do not hesitate to contact me or any staff member if you have questions or concerns about our school.

Sincerely,

Mr. Bo Seago
Principal

Dear SES Students and Families,

I am honored to serve as the assistant principal of a school with motivated students, a devoted staff, and a supportive community. I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than twenty years. In that time, I have come to understand that education is a life-long process, because when we stop learning, we stop growing. I believe that students are the heart of our school and for them to reach their full potential, we must connect education to students’ social and emotional development. It is important to create an environment where children can flourish academically because all of their needs are being met. At Selmer Elementary, we understand that children must have their social, emotional, and personal health needs met before cognitive skills can be developed. We value your partnership and will strive to maintain a positive working relationship with each of you so that our students receive the foundation they need to become well-rounded, healthy individuals. My goal is that all students from Selmer Elementary School are equipped with a solid education and important life skills to help them reach their full potential.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can ever be of assistance to you or your child.

Sincerely,

Michelle Kientz

Assistant Principal
