Mandatory Third Grade Parent Meeting
Selmer Elementary School Administration and Third Grade
Teachers will be having a MANDATORY meeting for all third grade
Parent(s)/Guardians. Third Grade is the first year that students are
required to complete T-CAP State Testing. We will be discussing
information concerning the requirements necessary for the
assessment, including the newly implemented Tennessee
Education Law: Tennessee Learning Loss Remediation and Student
Acceleration Act. It is the new law which details the requirements for
your child to be promoted to the fourth grade.
Date: Wednesday, August 30, 2023
Location: Selmer Elementary School Cafeteria
Time: 5:00 p.m.
Please park in the front parking lot located in front of the
school. You will then need to let the office know you are there for
the meeting. Once in the cafeteria, please sign in with your child’s
homeroom teacher.

Cafeteria. This day is allotted for parent(s)/guardians that were not able to attend the first
meeting on August 30th.
