Our Mission

We are Leaders, Readers, Thinkers, and Doers

By creating and supporting a dynamic system of teaching and learning for all students, all stakeholders of Selmer Elementary School will strive to instill in students a love for leading, reading, thinking and doing evidenced through attendance, academic growth and achievement, and staff observation.
  • Excellent music department beginning with students in Pre-K
  • Offer weekly library, music, guidance, and computer classes
  • Our students participate in physical education on a daily basis
  • LRE department founded under the 1975 IDEA, the federal law that supports special education and related service programming for children and youth with disabilities
  • Houses 4 PreK classrooms

Our Vision

When students exit Selmer Elementary School, they will exhibit academic, social, and organizational skills necessary to be successful in the middle school setting.
